Audio Solution Technology
This audio guide for education faculty offers a comprehensive round-up of the latest technologies and innovations. Technology that transports, switches, mixes, processes and amplifies audio signals. Applications that facilitate zoned bells, paging and access control within classrooms, halls, auditoriums and large outside areas.
Goals...
Identify and recommend technology solutions for in-room and general audio.
Identify and recommend technology solutions for in room and general paging, music and bells.
Describe how to achieve the management and support of deployed technology.
Describe how industry-standard transport protocols (SIP, Dante & RF) can be used for reliable audio transportation and switching.

Either a separate system, where teaching content is handled on a completely different platform to audio for background music, paging, and alerts or an integrated system where ALL the audio requirement is contained within a single platform minimising cost in hardware, installation and maintenance times. Midwich offers both.
Audio for In-Room Devices
Components from Ecler, Terracom & LEA Professional depending on requirements of room and audience size.
Audio for Paging and Emergencies
Components from Ecler, Terracom & LEA Professional depending on room and audience size.
Features full duplex, input/output control, internal memory, integrated scheduler, event management, volume control, acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), noise reduction. Powered via POE and/or external power supplies.
Minimising cable pulling, installation time, installation disruption, remote set-up and maintenance.
Local or Remote Control / Management
Today, researching and purchasing products nearly always results in devices that connect either to a local network or to the cloud for control and management. This provides an opportunity to lower the total cost of ownership of the devices by simplifying the onsite installation, simplifying the device configuration and by providing the ability to remotely diagnose and maintain individual devices or entire systems.
Examples are:
LEA Professional - Connect Series amplifiers are designed from the ground up to be configured and managed across a network.
Ecler – EclerNet ecosystem of devices and software to deploy, managed and used by customers.
Terracom – A suite of Audio over IP(AoIP) products using standard SIP protocol and enabling unicast, multicast or broadcast functionality over standard network architecture.
Featuring priority management, backup management, event management, built-in scheduler, volume control, acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction, paging, intercom, music streaming, routing, logic control, monitoring etc...
Network Protocols
SIP: Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol used for initiating, maintaining, and terminating real-time sessions that include voice, video, and messaging applications.
Ideal for merging audio, telephony and access control, transported over standard Ethernet networks as used by Terracom.
Dante: Dante is a combination of software, hardware, and network protocols that deliver uncompressed, low-latency audio over a standard Ethernet network as used by Ecler and LEA.
